Spending cuts.  Its time for the governor and the legislature to really go through the state's budget line by line to eliminate wasteful and unproductive spending.

Spending cuts, of course. A state cannot tax itself to prosperity. Also, the Ohio corporate tax rate must be decreased. It is currently in the top 5 highest in the nation. If I were  a business owner looking for a place to build my widget factory, lets's see:

Georgia/Tennessee-low tax, or Ohio-high tax ........Hmmmm. You want jobs folks, you have to elect business - friendly legislators. It's that simple!

It's time for a tax hike this time.  Sorry but we can't keep cutting necessary programs and cutting government workers until there is no Ohio givernment left to operate properly.  No one like a tax hike but with so many people out of work already there isn't enough money to keep the State going.  We need JOBS and they are not coming in fast enough with the Tax cuts that we already have in place.

The Balanced Budget Ammendment that this State has may sound like a good idea but it isn't because in hard times like these and with the high number of unemployed, the State is required to balance the budget and it has to cut so many necessary programs and so many employees just to keep it balanced.   That makes things worse with more umemployed people.  We need good paying jobs in this State so that the state can begin to operate properly but in the meantime, a tax hike would help.  Ronald Reagan raised taxes I believe 7 times.  He also raised the deficiet to uncomfortable highs too.
